What is National Growth?
Growth of individual character only can be considered as National growth,every other growth in the absence of character-growth is only bloating.
Are there not enough resources already to happily share among all the people of India?
Will there be enough resources any time for even one person's greed to accumulate and hoard?
What is the need to accumulate resources meant for others and show off?
Is it not the most harmful mental disease which harms the society the most?
If one person builds a house for 4500 crores when he already has a 1000 crore house,what is the example he is setting?
What is the message he is sending?
That everyone should aspire to build a billion dollar house?
Are there resources for such extravaganza on earth for 6 billion people,even for a million people?
What he considres as his personal property?
Ultimately he is only using the Nation's natural resources which are meant for building 4.5 lakh schools and 1 lakh hospitals.
If he depletes the resources for his show-off how can Nature create so much new resources for others?
It never happens and the whole of the country and the world have to suffer and pay the price for one man's madness!
Is not materialism a childish madness?
Only children are mad after toys.Grown-ups need not be.
Why should India follow the quality of life of America which only sanctifies quantity in life?
Can't American way of life and its civilisation be identified as in the childish phase of evolution?
Has not Indian civilisation gone through the Childish phase,Adult phase and reached the Wisdom phase long back,many millennia ago actually?
Should our ripe old civilisation which balances the spirit,emotion,mind and matter hanker after a silly civilisation which glorifies only matter because it is now only beginning to civilise?
Will Barack Obama or the Democrats or even John McCain Change A Thing? Civilisation and progress are brought by technology,not by politicians!
Do not look to politicians for development,advancement and refinement of civilisation.
Civilisation is the synonym for technology of the age.
From stone age to copper age to iron age,from agricultural age to industrial age to information age,civilisation is represented by technology.
Celebrate the technologists to bring in better ways of living.
Politicians existed in all ages and they were the ones who fought off development and enlightenment as long as their might made it possible.
Politicians are after power,which is neither modern nor civilised.
Every single cell organism also wants to have control over its environment.
Any creature that has fangs and paws exhibits and wields power.
Power is aboriginal and ancient and animalistic.
Those who are after power are not after change but after the status-quo which gives them the power.
Every change upsets the equilibrium and changes the paradigm of power.
So politicians are scared for life about change.
In fact they acquire power by promising security from change,taking advantage of the human beings' fear of the unknown.
How then will they bring about change,bring in better living and carry forward civilisation?
Left to themselves they are sure to bring back the dark ages any time!
And as for Barack Obama,he was too busy to even think of changing his own brother's life even a little bit...he did not even remember him,is n't it?You are not his brother and he does not have a better reason to remember you...change you he might..to a loser that much is certain..
He already started saying 'the road ahead will belong'..well, who has not told that,every one promises something and says that will not take place overnight and then they start blaming it on the opposition,the tried and tested obamaism...you the tried and tested loser..

Understanding Indian democracy in its true functional form to avoid heartburns
Democracy is Government of the people;it's a good idea,let us try it in India sometime!
What form of democracy India has
Democracy by its definition is a non-government
Power of the people means everyone is equally powerful,no one needs to obey or believe anyone other than himself
Everyone has to be responsible for his acts as well as the rights he has
This freedom is the central aim of democracy
Once freedom is granted democracy has achieved its highest purpose
Development and progress are subjective matters in democracy.
One man’s industrial prosperity is another man’s environmental poisoning .
One man’s materialistic ambitions are another man’s vulgar consumerism.
Debatable issues do not get priority in democracy.They only get debated endlessly
until a democratic dictator has his way.
In theory itself democracy can take many forms.
Because of its basic nature of Government by all, meaning Government by none,only when benefits have to be taken people will scurry and scamper.
When it comes to the dirty and dangerous business of actual Governance,like fighting terrorists,even Intelligence agencies will hide behind the least plausible fig leaf,to save their skins.
The axiom of being first for the banquet and last for the battle is eminently practicable and practiced without fail in democracies.
Having said that,the most visible democracies of UK,USA and India have great differences in their functioning,yet all are democracies.
UK is a monarchial democracy,an oxymoron by itself,king’s rule of the people by the people,see how it looks!
America is a Presidential form of democracy,meaning one man’s supremacy for his tenure,he can even declare major bloody wars vetoing his Houses of representatives .
India is a Parliamentary democracy and the President is only a figure-head!
The parliament is half-filled with the ex-royal family members,making it a semi-feudal parliament.
The other half is filled with ‘criminals’who are none but the perverted remnants of the Dada form of local governance.
This Grandfathergovernment was prevalent in rural India and got transplanted in Industrial and mining environments. It still lives in the form of kangaroo courts and best relied upon too.
The grandfathers have been replaced by the self-imposing godfathers.
The grandfather(Dada) of the extended family settles the intra-family disputes.
Inter-family disputes result in family wars(Gang wars)until the territories and business divisions are settled according to the strength of the families.
For Intra-family governance,the grandfather is ideal,because he has the wisdom and the experience and he cannot be partial to any side of his own family.
In Inter-family disputes too,the Dadas mostly settle without violence,and here too the family members can depend on their Dada to take the best care of their interests.
So Indian parliamentary democracy is actually a royalistic-feudalistic-criminal-grandfather variety of democracy,with a bureaucratic executive.
Democracy is infinitely adaptable and it adapts to the existing environment of mindsets,cultures and traditions.
It is so adaptable that a tyrant can call himself as a democratic tyrant,as long as he claims to be carrying out the will of the people.
The benefits and cares available in a grandfatherly system is not available to the people in a bureaucratic form of executive system!
The bureaucracy ONLY can take care of itself!
It is never in anybody’s interest to involve and settle impartially the disputes and grievances.
Bureaucracy by default becomes partner to the most-profitable party in any dispute.
Police always sides with the criminals,because they are their providers.Never think of their Government salaries.It is believed to be the tribute the people have to pay for having the honour of keeping the bureaucrat in the Payroll.For every movement of his little finger the bureaucrat will need benefits.
That is how wine-shops,bootlegging,bar-dancing,discos,drug-joints and prostitution are monopolized by the police with the partnership of either the under-world criminals called gangsters or the upper-world criminals called Dadas and politicians.
Whenver the politician-bureaucrat-police syndicate wants to monopolise any business,they first outlaw it and then take over it themselves .The outlawing part is to eliminate competition.
It is no wonder that the politicians,bureaucrats and the police never work for the common people,but they work for themselves and for their interest-groups,meaning families and favourites.
If you are part of one such family or gang or group and your needs are falling within the range and reach of your group,you will find things going for you remarkably well and easy.
Otherwise you will be hitting your head against stonewalls everywhere and find yourself blaming everything in the Government for corruption,inefficiency and insensitivity.
Well,can it be anything different than this,and it is not even as bad as it seems to be,given the human nature of minding only one’s own self-interest infinitely and not even acknowledging the existence of interests for others,actually even the existence of others is objectionable their interests be damned.

Though we use money,as currency notes,all the time,we do not understand money,the system whch makes monetary system and whether there are vested interests for the members of the monetary system.Ron Paul gives a lay man's account of monetary system and the evils in its present form,his own version though.Nevertheless it is a good inroductory piece of essay for the layman to become informed with a perspective.

Do you reject your guilt, shame and embarrassment?
Well,it would have been a blessing if people can 'reject' their guilt,shame etc.
Normally they try to ignore or divert and distract themselves from the
offending or painful emotions,but these remain at a deeper (sub-terranean)
level until another life event triggers them all over again.
Those who want to come out of such emotional 'stuck-up'states have to
begin with examining their Basic Beliefs,by recollecting their MUSTS.
It is the beliefs that create the reactions,neither the events nor the
agents(people involved).
The individual's beliefs determine the emotional reactions.
This can be understood from the fact that all people do not feel guilt
or embarrassment to the same triggering situation.
The reactions are as diverse as there are people.Even the intensities
are also not the same.
Here lies the clue to work on the debilitating reactions to become
eventually free from them.
Review and validate your beliefs.
Fundamentally,no event or agent needs to trigger any shame
or any guilt in anyone.
It is only programmed by the 'environment' namely parents,peers,
teachers and religion,who aimed at creating some 'boundaries' to be
able to move in the society inoffensively.
But the results may be rewarding,neutral or unproductive
depending on the present situation in
life.No one intended your discomfort when creating those
boundaries,perhaps there may be
over-reactions and unintended bitterness involved in
the programming process,in the belief-
formation stage.It is never too late to review and revalidate
the beliefs which are counterproductive.
Anyone can lead an absolutely creative,productive and
fruitful life by consciouly reprogramming HIS or HER beliefs.

Can you sing and dance as and when you like or as and when someone invites or as and when a situation of mirth arises
How long it takes for you to begin to sing and dance freeing yourself from your current stuck up thought
Have you noticed that different people start song and dance after different time lags and different degrees of persuasion
Are you coming back from outside after dealing with difficult people and difficult situations and your mind is free and light that you can immediately break into song and dance
Are you leaving your home after many heated and energetic arguments over household affairs with lightness of mind and heart
Song and dance indicate(or one of the indicators,when you are not inebriated and not under drugs) light and free state of mind(free from emotional hang ups like ruminations,grouses,grudges,hurts,regrets,self-curses)
can you preserve your light and free mind,your blissful spirit,in the middle of the cacaphony and confrontations that a normal life puts you in
have you identified all your provocations that trigger anger in you
have you realised that your need for respect,money,women,power and prestige are being used by provocateurs,even by practical-joke playing mischief-mongers,
to throw you off-balance and upset you,
because they enjoy the power of controlling your mood and your helplessness in doing nothing or not much about mockery and tease,
the way a oversensitive person to tickling gets tickled all the time by his friends for fun
after people are unfair,mean and nasty to you behind your back and on your face,can you erase at will the automatic hurt and hold no grudge whatsoever,SIMPLY because grouse, grudge and anger only hurt the holder not the provoker
or do you not get a hurt at all
all these must be possible if all the theories and knowledge and wisdom you believe to be possessing have helped you
you can substitute any other state of mind and emotional state familiar to you as indicative of a light fresh and free mind,a blissful mind,in the place of song and dance
Knowledge is a set of ideas
anger is an emotion
have you got the knack to rule your emotions with your ideas
or you realised that you could not because you lose your mind when emotion is strong
or that it is simply because of losing your mind you became emotional in the first place
did you find them to be present mutually exclusively
and you desired that they are present simultaneously
watching one another in preserving your emotional energy and mental sanity
and regretted that your knowledge and understanding and wisdom on anger
could have rescued you from some angry situation
in which you were found to be behaving next to insane
is it like one person shouting in fury to another not to get angry anytime in life
Is it like a drinking smoking doctor advising his patients not to drink and smoke because he KNOWS that these are unhealthy but finds no way to stop them himself, because he does not know how to overcome addiction,an emotional condition
everyone wants to be free from anger in a blissful way,
not repressing it and fighting it back,building it up like a simmering volcano and bursting it out in one violent eruption
repression of anger due to the ideas and advices on anger is not any way helpful to be blissful and free,it is rather more misery
have you come across such persons who are eternally and blissfully free from anger
or are you one of them
or have you come across such bliss only in stories related to Buddha
and other Godly and the Saintly
